Une affiche tout juste dévoilée nous permet d'avoir enfin un visuel de Dwayne Johnson sous la cape de Black Adam, accompagnée d'une date sortie.
En 2014, Warner Bros. laissa le choix à The Rock d'incarner Shazam ou sa Némésis égyptienne. Il choisit cette dernière, le studio confirmant dans la foulée lui consacrer un film solo (Bah oui tant qu'à avoir Johnson, autant capitaliser sa popularité). Mais les multiples tollés et remaniements du DCEU ainsi que l'agenda surchargé de l'ex-catcheur faisait patiner le projet. MAIS ÇA Y EST, LE FILM EST LANCÉ. Après 5 ans d'incertitude, le réalisateur Jaume Collet-Serra était annoncé à la barre en juin dernier et c'est dorénavant ce concept art, crayonné par le cultissime dessinateur Jim Lee en collaboration avec le graphiste Boss Logic, qui pose la dernière pierre à cette officialisation.

Despite my troubles, I was still a good kid with a good heart - I just liked to do things my way. Now, years later as a man, with the same DNA I had as a kid - my superhero dreams have come true. I'm honored to join the iconic #DCUniverse and it's a true pleasure to become, BLACK ADAM. BLACK ADAM is blessed by magic with the powers equal to SUPERMAN, but the difference is he doesn't toe the mark or walk the line. He's a rebellious, one of a kind superhero, who'll always do what's right for the people - but he does it his way. Truth and justice - the BLACK ADAM way. This role is unlike any other I've ever played in my career and I'm grateful to the bone we'll all go on this journey together.
