Honing his craft and love of music for the last 15 years, the rise of Jaguar Skills as the greatest Mash-Up DJ on the planet has been well documented. With a weekly slot on the Trevor Nelson Show, alongside regular performances on BBC Radio 1s ‘In New DJs We Trust’, the word of this groundbreaking DJ has spread globally.  Becoming a regular fixture at ‘Toolroom Knights’, Jags skilful, lightning speed mixing has captivated crowds and won over an army of dedicated followers. More precisely, and that’s the subject of our review, he has just finish to mix the new album of Toolroom Knights. This album has already attracted a lot of attention and support from BBC Radio 1's Chris Moyles amongst others and will be released on the 26th of June 2011.

For the first time, Jag Skills delivers 2 exclusive tracks alongside production partner DJ@War, showcasing his versatility as both DJ & producer. The electro fuelled melody of ‘Potential Super Violence’ and the bass heavy onslaught that is ‘9 Levels Of Power’ are two additional highlights to the album, as are Jag’s mixes of ‘Gabriel’ and ‘Blitz’ which gives a new spin on recent Toolroom smash ‘Sinnerman’ by Sean Miller & Daniel Dubb. Intricately dissecting and reconstructing tracks to make new musical compositions, this is Jaguar Skills at his best and in true ninja style, Jag crafts a mix that packs a powerful punch and keeps you locked in from start to finish with tricks, snappy turntablism, sample drops and re-edits that will keep you listening again and again!

Un métier bien rôdé et un amour incontesté pour la musique depuis plus de 15 ans, ont fait de Jaguar Skills l’un des plus grands DJ de Mash-Up et c’est difficilement contestable. Avec un créneau hebdomadaire sur le Trevor Nelson Show et des représentations régulières dans l’émission ‘In New DJs We Trust’ de la BBC Radio 1, les sons de ce DJ révolutionnaire se sont peu à peu propagés partout dans le monde. Plus précisément, et c’est le sujet de notre chronique, il  vient tout juste de finir de mixer le nouvel album de Toolroom Knights. Pour la première fois, Jag Skills nous livre 2 titres inédits qu’il a produit aux côtés de son compère DJ @War, mettant en avant sa polyvalence à la fois de DJ et de producteur. Il y a la mélodie carburant à l’électro « Potential Super Violence » et le titre avec une basse sourde et aboyante « 9 Levels Of Power » qui sont deux des moments forts de l’album, au même titre que « Gabriel », « Blitz » et la toute dernière bombe de Toolroom « Sinnerman » réalisée par Sean Miller et Daniel Dubb. La dissection et la reconstruction des pistes effectuées par Jaguar Skills donnent de nouvelles compositions musicales intéressantes. Le style du ninja est à son apogée,  un artisanat chirurgical créant des tracks puissants qui vous donneront irrémédiablement l’envie de danser, couplés à des samples toujours bien pensés qui vous feront écouter les titres encore et encore!
