Ce dimanche j’ai voulu célébrer un mini Thanksgiving avec ma famille.
Je me suis levée assez tôt pour commencer à cuisiner. A 20H, j’étais encore aux fourneaux à finaliser le repas. C’était la première fois que je passais autant de temps en cuisine mais le jeu en a valu la chandelle!
J’avais préparé la traditionnelle Pumpkin Pie, des Gingerbreadmen et autres pâtisseries, un énorme poulet farci aux marrons, une soupe de butternut/potiron/châtaignes, et une purée de pommes de terre. Je ne voulais vraiment rien d’audacieux, juste un petit repas sympathique en famille.

Last Sunday, I wanted to celebrate a « mini » Thanksgiving with my family. I woke up very early in order to cook and prepare everything on time. That’s the very first time that I spent so much time cooking and cleaning in the kitchen. I couldn’t buy a turkey so I prepared a chicken instead. That was a big challenge for me. As a vegetarian, I’m not used to cook anything with meat, but it was worth it. I made the traditionnal pumpkin pie, some gingerbreadmen, a butternut/pumpkin/chestnut soup, and roasted turkey with chestnut stuffing.
